Our Missions Statement

  I.  The name of this corporation shall be:

MISIONES DE LA LUZ DEL EVANGELIO Y AVIVAMIENTO, INC.

    (Gospel Light Missions & Revival)

II. GOSPEL LIGHT MISSIONS & REVIVAL had its initial beginnings January 22, 1977 and shall be a non-profit faith mission in a permanent existence as a perpetual ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ through his  body the church on this earth, empowered  by  the  Holy  Spirit  to  testify  and  witness of the Lord Jesus  and  his  glorious  resurrection power through his spirit-filled church until he comes again, to rapture away his bride, the church.

III.GOSPEL LIGHT MISSIONS & REVIVAL as a non-profit faith mission shall be a church ministry funded by believers of churches God has touched to support with offerings of faith and conviction that Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever. Evangelism, Preaching the Word of God, the gospel for the purpose in publishing, proclaiming, and the planting of indigenous churches in turn by  spirit-filled  believers  of  indigenous  churches  the outreach  of  missions  that  Jesus Christ may  be glorified. Offerings are to be regarded as funds entrusted to a stewardship and accountable by record, receipt, and wise accountability of use under the leadership of the Holy Spirit

and his administration that in all things Jesus Christ may be glorified.

IV.GOSPEL LIGHT MISSIONS & REVIVAL:

    A. "High Mission"

"Received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God." Acts 20:24, With this message of grace we are to proclaim to every "Tribe... kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation." Matt. 24:30, Rev. 5:9 & 7:9    "Go   ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mk. 16:15 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.  Amen." Matt. 28:19-20. "And the gospel must first be published among all nations." Mk. 13:10. In obedience we shall by the grace of God and by faith in God the Holy Spirit and his Word go and testify this gospel of the grace of God... "into all the world."    To publish and to proclaim here and abroad the gospel by way of  Bible distribution,  Tracts,  Literature,  Preaching  and Teaching  Doctrine, that will equip and enable missionaries to start local indigenous churches where the gospel message has never been proclaimed.

B. "Faith Mission"

    "With a true heart in full assurance of faith... purifying our hearts by faith... seeking  to  obey  and  please Christ... for he that cometh to  God  must  believe  that  he  is,  and  that  he is  a  rewarder  of  them  that  diligently  seek  him." Acts 15:9, Heb. 10:22 & 11:6. "Not slothful, but  followers  of  them who through faith and patience inherit the promises... and to boldly hold... the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience... without wavering;  (for   he  is   faithful   that promised;)... to be: "ready to preach the gospel... instant in season, out of season... the gospel of  Christ:  for  it  is  the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the rightousness of God revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, the just shall live by faith." Heb. 6:10-12, I Tim. 3:9,  Heb.10:23, Rom. 1:15 & 16-17. Our faith is not to be in or to rely upon the wisdom or laden traditions of men but in  God and his Holy Word.

    "Now to him, (God the Holy Spirit)  that  is  of   power  to  stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept  secret  since  the  world  began,  but  now  is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according  to  the  commandment  of  the everlasting God,  made known to all nations for the obedience of faith... So then  faith  cometh  by  hearing, and  hearing  by  the word of God." Rom. 16:25-26,  Rom. 10:17.

     As a faith mission not trusting in our own recourses or the arm of  flesh but God the Holy Spirit... endued with his power from on high, Daily renewed and transformed by his power  in  the  Word  of  God. To be used as his servant, a vessel he may flow through waxing valiant for God doing exploits for God as "Men and women of faith." We are to trust God for the miraculous as a daily occurrence in all areas of our life and ministry, to see our needs met in the miraculous.

God provides to his servants of faith all provisions for daily living and for ministry as a claimed promise appropriated in God and his Word. Jn. 12:26, Phil. 4:14-19,  Psa. 107:8-9,  Psa. 145:18-21,  Psa. 84:11,  Jer. 17:5-8, Jn. 17:2, Jn. 14:28, Jn. 10:29, I Cor. 9:14, Deut. 25:4, I Tim. 5:18, Psa. 8:9, Lk. 24:49, Psa. 20.

C. "Church Mission"

    "He gave some, apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ... and hath given to us the ministry (or: Mission) of reconciliation." Eph. 4:12,  II  Cor. 5:18.

     Our ministry is a mission of reproduction, to remultiply the church in the world. Our Lord Jesus said: "Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit." Jn. 12:24. The apostolic ministry of the Holy Spirit is a ministry of reproduction of the church and a progressive mission of  remultiplication of indigenous local churches fulfilling the great commission. The Holy Spirit is the Administrator of the body of Christ and the work of church planting.  I Cor. 12:4-12  &  27-28.

     Church planting is a mission of the church; In the church men and women are "Called  to  be  apostles,  separated unto the gospel of God... by whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name." Rom. 1:1-5.  As men and women "Endued with power from on high... crucified with Christ... we  are  to  go and bring forth fruit." Lk. 24:49, Gal. 2:20, Jn. 15:7-16, II Tim.2:2, Acts 2:47, I Tim.3:7.

Our  Statement  of  Faith

    We believe, The Bible to be the divinely inspired Word of God,  without error,  and is for doctrine,  for reproof, for correction,  and for instruction in righteousness.  II Timothy 3:16.

    We believe, In the Holy Trinity, GOD the FATHER, GOD the SON (Jesus), GOD the SPIRIT (Holy Spirit). Matt. 28:19,  II Cor. 13:14,  Hebrews 1:8,  Colossians 1:15-19,  Acts 5:3-4,  John 14:16-17  &  Romans 8:9-11.

    We believe, That man was made after the image of God, triune, with spirit, soul, and body. I Thess. 5:23; That when Adam sinned he brought the curse of sin upon all mankind and from birth all  have  taken on  the same adamic sin nature. Romans 5:12.

    We believe, That  God  so  loved  mankind  that  he sent his only begotten Son Jesus Christ to the world (John 3:16)  to be born of a virgin, to live a sinless life, to give his life upon the cross, taking all the sins  of  mankind  upon himself on that cross  and  then died, was buried  and  three days later arose from the dead,   after  that being seen of about five hundred people (I Cor. 15:6)  he  ascended  up  to  heaven  to  sit upon the right hand of the Father God ever making intercession for us.

    We believe, That any man, women, boy or girl who believes in the "Gospel: The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, repents and  accepts  Jesus   into  his  or  her  life to become Lord of their life, becomes a born again Christian (a child of God) and will have an eternal home with Christ in a literal heaven. Ephesians 2:8.

    We believe, In the person God the Holy Spirit; and that at salvation the Holy Spirit comes to indwell every born again child of God (Galatians 3:27, John 14:16-17) sealing and securing them until the day of redemption. Eph. 4:30.

    We believe, That after a person has been born again by accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour they need to be baptized by immersion in obedience to the Word of God (Romans  6:3-4) ,  and as a testimony  to  the  world of their conversion to Jesus Christ.

    We believe, In the ordinance of the Lord's Communion, or Lord's Supper. All believers have right to the Communion table of the Lord Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 11: 23-34. Non-alcoholic grape juice and unleavened bread is to beused. Leviticus 10:9-11, Proverbs 20:1, Luke 1:15, Daniel 1:8-9, Daniel 5.

    We believe, In the filling of the Holy Spirit as a separate experience apart from salvation for enabling power. It is a command of God for all believers to be filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18, Galatians 5:25, Romans 8:1-4, The Spirit-filled experience is required to qualify and ordain church leaders in the office of deacon (Acts 6:3) or pastors (Elders) to fulfill the scripture:  I Peter 5:1-3.

    We believe, In the gifts of the Spirit I Corinthians 12:1-11, and the exercise of the same gifts by the believers in the body of Christ the local church.  I Corinthians 12:12-31,  I  Corinthians 13-14.

    We believe, In the fruit of the Holy Spirit to be evident in all new believers and the evidence of a   spirit-filled life and walk. Galatians 5:22-25.

    We believe, In divine healing and deliverance through the sacrifice of the body, the blood and death of Christ on the cross. James 5:14-15, Isaiah 53:4-6, Matt. 8:15-17, I Peter 2:24 & Mk. 16:17-18.

    We believe, That we are in this world to be a Holy seperate people unto God, not touching the unclean things of the world but to live a Christ-like example in this present world.    II Corinthians 6:17, Ephesians 4:1-3, Romans 12:1-2.

    We believe, That the local church assembly is to be supported by the tithes and offerings of the same local body of  believers. Malachi 3:10,  Luke 6:38.

    We believe, In the second-coming and rapture of our Lord Jesus Christ (rapture, catching away of the believers)  I Thess. 4:13-18, and the second coming during the millenial reign of Christ. Where we shall rule and reign with Christ Jesus for a 1,000 years. Revelations 20:6.

    We believe, That after the church is raptured and caught away in the catching away will begin seven years of great tribulation. Matt. 24:14-31, Daniel 9:27, Rev. 7:14,  II Thess. 2:4-12, Jer. 30:7, Psalms 2:5.

    We believe, In  a  literal  heaven  where  believers  will  spend  all  eternity  with   Christ. John 14: 1-3, Jeremiah 23:24,  II Corinthians 5:1-10.

    We believe, in a literal hell and judgment which no one without Christ Jesus as there personal Saviour shall escape.  Revelations 20:12-15,  Luke 16:19-31.

    We believe, In this church ministry Christ Jesus will be exalted, and we will strive towards continuous revival and miracles among believers with a evangelistic and missionary zeal and thrust.  Matt. 16:15-20, Matt. 28:19-20.

    We believe, That the task of evangelism is a ministry of the church, with the principle of multiplication of its kind. A high mission received of the Lord to go where the gospel has never been proclaimed with the ground work established in church planting that new churches may also carry out this  remultiplication  of  church  planting  unto every "tribe... kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation." Acts 20:24, Matt.24:30, Revelations 5:9  &  7:9,  Mk. 16:15-20,  Matt. 28:19-20,  John 12:24, John 15:7-16, Romans 1:1, 5, I Tim. 2:2, Acts 6:3, I Tim. 3:7, Romans 16:26, Romans 10:12-15.
